We're Back!!

Hello Pretty Little Lyres!
School is back in session and Alpha Chi at ASU has been super busy with a ton of fun stuff! So let's catch up… First things first (I'm the realest), we had an extremely successful recruitment and welcomed an amazing new member class into our sisterhood. Bid day was better than Christmas as we spent the day eating, laughing, and bowling at Lucky Strike. Bid night with Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity was a celebration for the books. Over the last few weeks, we've gone on a few adventures including our whole house retreat at Camp Tontozona, the Florida Georgia Line/Jason Aldean concert, a hike up A Mountain and the Arizona Diamondbacks game. Big Little reveal came next and we saw families and bonds of sisterhood grow. And finally, we wrapped up these crazy few weeks with Parents Weekend! Our sisters got to share a whole weekend showing their parents or families around Tempe. AXO hosted a parent's reception on Friday, went to the football game… Go Devils!… on Saturday and said our "see you soon's" at our annual Symphony Brunch on Sunday. Hello again! Even though we live in Arizona and nothing blooms, a sure sign that spring has arrived is watching all the pretty little lyres parade down the street in sky high heels and gorgeous cocktail dresses. That's right, it's formal season! We gathered in our Adelphi cluster and took the cutest pictures then as soon as we hit the dance floor, the heels came off and the real fun began! Here at ASU Alpha Chi, our sisterhood is 24/7. Even when school isn't in session, our sisterhood is. Two weeks ago, our sisters packed their AXO totes and took off for Spring Break! It was a week full of traveling, tans, and throwing what you know just about everywhere. Check out the pics below to see how we relaxed and had fun all week long! How did you spend your SB? AXO's Gotta Crush On You!

Love was in the air on February 14th at our annual Crush Party! The sisters of ASU AXO needed no help from Cupid as they handed out crush hearts to their best friends, boyfriends, or just friends. The night before on February 13th, we had a cupcake and crush heart decorating sisterhood where we all collaborated our creativity to make the prettiest hearts for our dates. Getting crafty with 170 sorority girls the night before a date party equals 'lots of glitter.... everywhere! All in all, Love Day weekend was a success and we already can't wait for next year! Just How Country Is She?

Kickin' It With Alpha Chi

Hey sisters! This is going to be a huge and exciting post so grab that Arizona Sweet Tea and take a seat. Two weeks ago, we hosted our first inaugural philanthropy called Kickin' It With Alpha Chi! The main event was a kickball tournament between 17 fraternities to raise money and show our support for the fight against domestic violence. Our good friends, A New Leaf, joined us to see the support first hand and we loved having them on board!  As part of our event, a bunch of little competitions took place on the side like a Heels Race and Pie an Alpha Chi. Oh yes, watching men run in high heels and then getting whipped cream pies thrown at our faces was such a joy. Throwing pies seemed to be a huge hit as we had to make multiple trips to the grocery store to get more whipped cream! By the end of the day everyone was full of smiles, whipped cream, victory and our donation jar was filled to the top! With everyone's support, Alpha Chi raised $4000 total, not including direct donations to A New Leaf, which was way more than we dreamed of. As women, we feel empowered to play a small part in raising awareness to the fact that 1 in 4 women become victims to domestic violence. It can happen to anyone, even ordinary women like us, and for that we would like to thank everyone that came out and participated in our pilot year of Kickin' It With Alpha Chi.
